Obeyda Al Fayad

Born out of a strong academic foundation in Fine Arts (2007), my work investigates the profound psychological and physical aftermath of war. Through the evocative portrayal of human faces and bodies, I explore how conflict radically alters identity, emotion, and form, giving voice to the silent scars left behind.

My practice has been recognized in competitions, notably winning third place in a 2012 youth artists exhibition, and reviewed by Syrian critics. I have exhibited widely in group shows across Syria (Spring Exhibition) and Jordan (Abyad Exhibition), as well as in solo exhibitions at the Genova Artroom Gallery and Spazio Gallery in Alba, Italy. I continue to use visual media as a vital tool for examining the human cost of conflict.
